On Melody Key Island, it would be generous to add that the average temperature in the south of Florida averages on a daily bases of a modest 25.5 C or 77.9 F.
Our Master Bedroom Suite is indeed the most exclusive accommodation on the Melody Key Island. Elegantly appointed with Art Deco touches, this spacious suite blends perfectly with traditional island details. Unique elements include teak plantation shutters, a hanging oak ceiling fan to give that extra touch and slate floors. Guests can enjoy a private deck with gorgeous ocean views, a substantial king size bed with signature bedding which certainly proves to be a favourite locale, especially when complimented by the sea view from the room.
This suite has a full stand alone bath and a rather modest yet spacious walk in shower surrounded by ocean rock decor and falling waterfall shower head. One is also complimented with the balcony full length glass doors that open to the ocean view and ample wardrobe space to store away those much needed swim suits!
To compliment the Master bedroom, there is a spacious second bedroom designed to follow the simple elegance of the Art Deco era- a classic design that has become the trade mark of Southern Florida as well as the Keys.
You will sleep like a dream in this spacious double bed complimented with the finest Egyptian linen through-out.
Of course, the room is endeared with a Flat Screen TV, Air-conditioning and the private balcony to off-setting the heights of this beautiful resort- how better to start your morning to the sound of the Atlantic ocean and smell of fresh air breezing to your very awakening.
The Third Bedroom or Bunkroom is located on the second floor and sleeps two and is complete with the full entertainment package of a Flat Plasma Screen TV with DVD player and games consoles and Wi-Fi access while perhaps you lay back on one of the comfy bean bags. With the on going art deco theme, the solid oak bed on looks the private balcony which gives a clear sea view set against the backdrop of greenery and waters- perfect for intimate dining in the summer. The room comes complete with an allocated shower room and bath.

Serving a mix of international cuisine to your liking, dining can be as formal or informal as you wish, from full four-course gourmet meals to picnics or lighter options with the children.
Alternatively, facilities are as such where Island guests can more than happily accommodate their own cooking needs with the kitchen.
This spacious and luxurious lounge boasts in size and freeness with its open plan set up leading right out onto 6 different balconies. This room is definitely the heart of this resort.
With surround sound, a large TV plasma screen and the comfort of the the fine leathered sofa's- whether you're looking to enjoy a movie, lay back from a fun filled day of activities and read your favourite book or just gather around the table to plan the next day's adventures, this lounge is where the soul of the house resides!
The first thing you'll notice when you step into this lounge area is the abundance of light that beams throughout. At the heights of this floor, you can over look the grounds as well as the waters only to find the kitchen and bar are only foot steps away where the next drink is awaiting!
When you enter the main house you are welcomed by a warming atmosphere and vibrant art work by local artists.
It boasts of a generous space which can also be transformed into a double pull-out bed to accommodate guests if need be.
Be it as an escape from the live action of the house or just a cool down from the outdoor sunshine, the warming colours and fresh ocean breeze which can be caught from this room will be like no other in the keys!
We recommend flying in to Key West. There, you can rent a car and it's just a 30 minute drive to Summerland Key where you will be met by our staff, taken by boat to the island, and given an orientation tour. If you prefer not to rent a car, limo service can be arranged.
If you are flying in from an international destination, then we suggest you land in Miami International airport- which is 160 miles away where you can then jump in a helicopter and fly direct to the island.
